Project Challenge:

PORTECH was entrusted with executing the complete unloading, erection, and re-shifting of three 350-ton Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG) Cranes within the confined spaces of DPW Mumbai (NSICT). The complexity involved:
• Performing precision erection in a highly constrained operational yard.
• Relocating partially dismantled 40-meter structures from the wharf area to the erection site.

Solution Delivered:

PORTECH delivered a technically advanced, multi-phase solution:

• Movement Using SPMT:
Each 350T RMG Crane was safely moved from the erection yard to the operational site using a Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT), ensuring controlled movement and structural integrity across a 200-meter path.

• Heavy Component Transport:
Dismantled crane structures were transported using multi-axle heavy lift trailers, allowing secure and timely relocation of oversized components for final assembly.
